About Kate Sharp

A two-time Million Dollar Club honoree for exceeding $5 million in annual commercial real estate sales, Katherine “Kate” Sharp of Birmingham, AL, has more than a decade of executive experience in commercial and industrial real estate. She has worked for some of the largest and most prominent firms in the Southeast, including Harbert Realty Services in Birmingham, AL, and Ackerman & Co. in Atlanta, Georgia.

From 2006 to 2012, Katherine Sharp was vice president of Ackerman & Co., a full-service commercial real estate firm that has acquired and developed almost 35 million square feet of medical, industrial, retail, office, and mixed-use space since its inception in 1967. She earned Million Dollar Club distinction for two consecutive years.

She was president of Sharp Commercial from 2012 to 2018, and concurrently served one year as head of industrial real estate with Harbert Realty Services. She is particularly versed in helping clients find warehouse distribution space. A graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, she was a member of the school's tennis team and still regularly plays the sport with her children.
